Champagne houses with tours in Dutch
A Dutch-language visit makes the technical story much easier to follow, especially on a first trip. The choice is smaller than for French or English, but several well-known houses provide Dutch audio or selected Dutch-language options.
Dutch audio is often the practical option
Large houses commonly work with scheduled groups and audio guides. That can be an advantage: you hear the full explanation in Dutch while still walking through the cellar with the group. It is different from a private Dutch-speaking guide, so read the format before booking.
Mercier in Épernay
Mercier is an approachable first visit and the cellar train makes it popular with families and mixed groups. Dutch is offered through the audio experience; the exact programme and duration depend on the chosen visit.
De Castellane and other possibilities
De Castellane has also listed Dutch among its visit languages. Availability can change by season and time slot, so we only treat Dutch as available when the booking flow or official visitor information shows it.
What works well
- Select Dutch before paying, not only on the general information page
- Allow extra time around Épernay during busy weekends
- Use English as a fallback only if everyone in the group is comfortable with it
